Before the ceremony, we went into the chapel to sign our Ketubah, or wedding contract. Actually we signed four times, twice in Hebrew and twice in English. We signed a more or less traditional Ketubah prepared by the United Synagogue for Conservative Judaism. Then we signed a special Ketubah we prepared ourselves that reflects our views and commitments. Close friends Larry Sondler and Deborah Spector served as witnesses and Rabbi Victor Mirelman completed the process. Relatives of both sides of the family crowded into the room to witness this event.
