The dark dome of a church peeks over trees seen squinting in the morning sun,
Looming above glimpses of undulating fields and meadows; meandering streams.
Built in another age this tiny urban prairie seems infinite.
So peaceful in the early fragile light, while most of the city lies asleep.
I am refreshed in this private public space, kept for us by Jensen’s vision for a tired city.
