The dark dome of a church peeks Over trees seen squinting in the morning sun, Looming above glimpses of Undulating fields and meadows; Meandering streams Built in another age. This tiny urban prairie Seems infinite. So peaceful in the early fragile light While most of the city lies asleep, I am refreshed in this private public space, Kept for us by Jensen’s vision for a tired city. -- Leonard Grossman
